Cost basis is the weighted average of your buys, including any fees you recorded.

Shares bought through Interactive Brokers. Each is shown in its own currency and never added to the kwacha book above. Prices come from Yahoo Finance twice each weekday.

Use the price per unit and the fees exactly as IBKR shows them, in the instrument's currency. Fractions are fine (0.2).

The Yahoo symbol decides where the price comes from (VWCE on Xetra is VWCE.DE). Not sure of a symbol? In GitHub, Actions, Fetch MSE prices, Run workflow, type the name in "Find a Yahoo symbol". You can type a price yourself if Yahoo is unavailable; clear it to go back to the fetched one.

Every buy and sell. Selling reduces cost at the running average and books a realised gain.

Cash actually paid into your account. These roll into total return, not into cost basis.

Set the dividend cheque you want, and this works backwards to the shares and capital each counter would take at today's price and its last full year of dividends.

Prices arrive two ways: a job refreshes this page each weekday evening after the close, and you can paste in the MSE daily report any time you have it. Whichever is dated later wins, so your own paste always beats the automatic refresh.
